If you want to learn about a culture look to the food. Food constructs a connection between what we believe, our ethnicity, our individual cultures and our cultural heritage. Food can define culture. Food is also the connection between culture and ethnicity and is important in retaining cultural identity.
On your next travel adventure be sure to eat like the locals if you want to immerse yourself in the culture.

Here Are The Top 5 Reasons I travel With a VPN

  1. Secure Public Wi-Fi: Public Wi-Fi networks are convenient but notoriously unsafe. A VPN encrypts my internet connection, shielding my personal data from cybercriminals lurking on unsecured networks.
  2. VPN Bypass Geographical Restrictions: I don’t want to miss out on my favorite shows, websites, or apps due to region-specific blocks. With a VPN, I can virtually change my location and access content from anywhere in the world.
  3. Privacy Protection: I like keeping my online activities private, even while exploring new destinations. My VPN masks my IP address, making it difficult for websites, advertisers, and even my ISP to track my every move.
  4. Secure Banking and Transactions: Whether booking flights or managing finances, my VPN adds an extra layer of security to my online transactions. It prevent hackers from intercepting my sensitive data while I handle important tasks on the go.
  5. Avoid Censorship: Some countries impose internet censorship, limiting access to information and social media. With my VPN, I can navigate the web freely and express my thoughts without restrictions.

Go somewhere

Saint Martin is part of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean Sea. It comprises 2 separate countries, divided between its northern French side, called Saint-Martin, and its southern Dutch side, Sint Maarten. Great for shopping (duty free) and Hiking. Check out some pictures on my Instagram. To save on hotels in St. Martin click here

The Dominican Republic is a Caribbean nation that shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti to the west. It’s known for its beaches, resorts and golfing. Its terrain comprises rainforest, savannah and highlands, including Pico Duarte, the Caribbean’s tallest mountain. Santo Domingo is the capital and it is full of life and culture. I was lucky enough to visit with family that are native to the island.

Las Vegas was on my list for a very long time and it was a funtastic time. The ladies and I did a dessert tour of sorts and although most places were close (Pandemic) it was like being in high school again.

The Grand Canyon was part of the Las Vegas trip. We drove from Vegas to the G.C. between the elevation, the heat and my propensity to go the speed limit, it was a very long ride. The view was well worth it.

Jumping into my day!

I was with my teenager on this trip and she told me to do something cool. That was my something cool.

Things I never travel without!

Confidence is self-love. Being in the sun is so much fun. I was in St. Martin here and was enjoying the warmth, it was February and very cold back home.

Along with my fun hat and sun screen I never travel without Travel Insurance. Some countries require that you travel health insurance to visit.  Travel insurance covers the money you spent on your flight or hotel for any reason. It is just the smart thing to do. Click the link to see which I use.
